The Dell Latitude D630 battery customer review :

The Dell D630 battery that was included in this D630 laptop was unusable within a year of owning this machine. Dell will not replace their own defective part because it has been 1 year and 1 week since the machine was delivered. This laptop has already had the hard drive and the power cord replaced and based on other reviews, there is clearly a problem with the battery. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with technical support and no access to a supervisor, I will not use Dell to replace this battery.

From the looks of it, many people are having the same problem I have with the laptop battery. The Latitude D630 battery was giving decent run times until it reached an age of about 20 months. After that, it went to about 10 minutes of run time. While this is not an absolutely horrible lifetime, I typically have had batteries last about 3 to 3.5 years before this happens.

The Product Dell Latitude D630 battery replacement in Amazon review:

My battery lasts for 2 hours after 2 weeks of use(after following best practices of charging/discharging) which I would consider poor performance even after relatively cheaper price as compared to Dell battery that would last for at least 4.5 hours after 3 months of usage. I had to struggle a lot to fit the battery on my Dell D620. I would think twice about buying cheap as it may also be cheap in performance. I could not locate the contact number for this vendor as they don’t print it on their payment receipts. Why would any vendor not like to give its customers a customer service number to call unless they are expecting return of goods instead of repeat customers

Physically, this item is nearly identical to the Dell branded battery. There are no quality issues at all. It does have the battery meter on the bottom, just like the original one. Since my Dell unit crapped out after 18mo, I can’t do any side by side comparisons, but I think the original unit had a bit more capacity. I recall getting 4 hours on my D620 running Fedora Linux (thought that was for maybe the first couple months). This unit is maybe 3-3.5 but again, I haven’t really done any scientific tests. It could be that I’m just harder on the Latitude D630 battery now than I was then. Either way, it’s a steal at roughly 1/3 the cost of the Dell unit.

Hopes that help you.
