Customer Rating :

I was really disappointed in the 6-cell battery pack that came with my Inspiron 1525. It didn’t have good life even when it was new, and after less than a year, I could not depend on it lasting as long as a half-hour! So when it came to a choice between the same battery at $135 or the 9-cell version at ONLY $20 MORE, it was obvious. Now I get about 2 hours of endurance (Much better, but still not the 4 hours that everybody (not just Dell) claims. I just hope it lasts longer than a year.

When I first purchased my Inspiron 1526 battery and 9 cell battery, it would hold up to 9+ hours without being hooked up to the adapter. But 13 months after purchase, it just died over night, no warning. The battery reads “plugged in, not charging” – Great! So while it works, it’s great; but don’t expect that to last very long. With such terrible longevity, I can’t help but feel this product is over priced.

This laptop battery was just what I needed. On Power Saver, it gives me up to 7-8 hours of work time without needing a charge!
The only problem I had was it took Dell what seemed like forever to get it to me. I was wondering if they had to build the battery like they do the PC’s!
